Parishioner Categories Set Forth by the Archdiocese of New Orleans
St. Ann School typically accepts students according to the following categories:*
1. Children of territorial parishioners who are deemed active by the pastor (territorial refers to the church parish geographical boundaries); Siblings of current St. Ann School students;**
2. Children of current employees or non-territorial parishioners who are deemed active by the pastor;
3. Children of St. Ann School Alumni or legacy families as determined by the pastor;
4. Children of territorial parishioners of a parish without a school or no room in their territorial parish school who are deemed active by their pastor;
5. Children of non-territorial parishioners of a parish without a school or no room in their territorial parish school who are deemed active by their pastor;
6. All others - including inactive parishioners, non-Catholics, etc.
NOTE: In the case of a student transferring from another Archdiocesan Catholic school, before granting admission, the principal will assess the status (academic, financial obligations, and disciplinary) of the student by conferring with the previous principal.
* Meeting the above criteria does not guarantee automatic acceptance.
** Being a sibling and/or a parishioner does not guarantee automatic acceptance.
Registration and Non-Support Fees
Due on February 9, 2026
PK2, PK3, PK4 Programs - $175 Registration Fee (Non-refundable)
Kindergarten - 7th Grade - $150 Registration Fee (Non-refundable)
Kindergarten - 7th Grade - $350 Non-Support Fee (Non-refundable)
These fees and their amounts are set by the Archdiocese of New Orleans for all Catholic Schools.
Registration Fee - Paid at the time of registration and non-refundable. St. Ann School cannot reserve a place for a student without a definite commitment on your part, especially if there are prospective students in the waiting pool.
Non-Support Fee - Paid at the time of registration. Owed by all families not registered at St. Ann Church as parishioners and by those registered, but not supporting St. Ann Church at the minimum annual amount ($400 for calendar year 2025) using electronic giving or through the envelope system. Your record of contributions is verified at the time of registration. If the amount is less than the minimum expected, the Non-Support Fee is collected. This fee is collected on a per student basis for students entering Kindergarten through 7th grade. St. Ann School policy is that this fee is non-refundable.
- If supporting another Archdiocese of New Orleans church parish, you can request a Parish Affiliation Voucher from that pastor. If that parish has a school and a vacancy for your child, the pastor is not obligated to give you this voucher; therefore, the Non-Support Fee would be collected.
- Church Support applies to Catholic families only. Non-Catholic families pay the “non-support” fee for each child.
