Technology

Computer parts and terms are discussed at each grade level. All St. Ann students are expected to demonstrate the qualities of a good digital citizen.

Our students receive lessons on internet safety, privacy and security. Students learn about their "digital footprint" and how to control it.

St. Ann Catholic School is committed to the integration of technology across the curriculum advancing student learning and engagement.

Technology is linked with instruction through curriculum based activities in all content areas. Teachers use interactive software and websites utilizing white-board technology to enhance lessons and student learning. Lessons using technological tools allow for differentiated and equitable learning opportunities for all.

St. Ann Catholic School maintains a Computer Lab as well as a Media Center equipped with state of the art technology. Students are encouraged to utilize the Media Center and/or the Computer Lab to complete projects before or after school as well as during recess time.

In addition, we employ technology-using communication tools such as Rediker, ParentPlus Portals, and School Messenger, as well as a Digital Media Management System for classroom broadcasts. The school also has the service of Sonitrol, a comprehensive security system which offers intrusion detection, access control, and fire detection. A video surveillance system is also in place.
